Hi Jim,

I thought you might like to see a picture of Echo. He’s now just a little over two years old

He is a constant companion. He loves to go for rides. He can tell which vehicle we’re going to use by which key I hold in my hand. If I forget to put the cars away, turn off the garage light or lower the door he reminds me. He’ll just sit in the garage doorway, until I come do it. When he’s satisfied that I’ve taken care of everything, he comes and sleeps at the foot of the bed. If I fall asleep with the light on, reading a book at night he wakes me up to go to bed.

He loves to play games -- through the ball, hide the bone, tug of war, or just clown around. He’s friendly to people; but just a little shy at first.

He attracts a lot of attention where ever we go. I’m often asked “who is the breeder?” Naturally, I tell them to give you a call. My next door neighbors are from Germany, so they just love to have him visit. They have a four year old boy who talks to him for hrs in German. He’s a good pet for my wife and mother-in-law; but prefers to go where ever I go. I rarely fail to take him with me when I leave the house.

He knows about posing for pictures. He’s doing it here! He posed for this shot when a friend got out his camera. When I print out pictures he stands in front of the printer to see what comes out.

I have a radio, underground fence. He learned to be aware of the beeping of his collar in short order. We have a generous sized property on a hill side. He romps the property; but has never crossed over the boundary. We’ve had 5 or 6 previous German Shepherds; but Echo is certainly the best dog we have ever owned. He’s very intelligent, obedient, likes to have fun and is very loving.

Keep up the good work!

"I am Sally the one who has Ranchel. I call her Ray Lee and paper name is Ray of Light. I can not began to tell you how she has changed my life. I have been fighting cancer. The chemo treatment really take it out of me. Since I have had her she has brought to my life a Ray of Light, a smile in my heart and showed me there is more to life. I have taken pictures of her to send you but every time I turn around someone from the family is asking for them. Everyone loves her so much. My sister was there when I got her, and she sends thing in the mail to Ray Lee when she is out of town. Ray Lee spends her Wed. at doggy day care with others her same size. Thurs. are training & Saturdays we go everywhere together. I take her to homedepot, wal-mart. Wherever they will allow me to bring her in. She is so well behaved. I wish I could get her a friend but have found the temperament is just not the same with others. I pray that maybe soon you and I can make arrangement to share another wonderful puppy and I am able to give her someone to grow old with. I can not thank you enough and the children at the cancer center here in Dallas thank you. Ray Lee brings smiles to the children's faces that have been filled with frowns for so long. thank you, thank you, thank you, etc. "

Hi, Jim!

Thought I'd give you an update on our boy Baylee.

He is eight months old as of yesterday. Is 22 inches tall at the shoulder. Weighs - A LOT!!!!!! (Haven't had him back at the vet, so not sure how much.)

I have a trainer coming over two days a week to work with him to keep him from being the dog from hell that he's been in the past. He's doing really well. Knows "sit," "lie down," and varying degrees of "stay." Ha!! How LONG he stays is usually up to him!!! And Friday he learned to "roll over." And he learns it so quickly. He's very smart. He's only had four training sessions!!

The "roll over" thing was not planned. I'm not into "tricks." But the trainer was working with him and had Baylee lie down. When Baylee laid down, he turned about a quarter turn too far. So Ray kinda' pushed him the rest of the way and said "roll over." Within about two minutes, Ray would say the command and draw a circle in the air with his hand, and Baylee would roll over. Told you he's smart. He is a rolling over fool now!!!

Anyway, wanted to send you a few photos so you can see how he's filling out and what a handsome young guy he's turning into!!!
